The Third International Ocean Colour Science Meeting will take place this year in Feira International de Lisboa Conference Centre, Lisbon. The event is being convened by the International Ocean Colour Coordinating Group (IOCCG) in partnership with EUMETSAT, ESA, The European Commission and NASA.
The overarching theme of IOCS-2017 is "Exploring New Capabilities for Global Ocean Colour Observations". To delve into this theme further, the event will comprise of a number of invited keynote speakers, a total of 9 breakout workshops that hope to address current critical issues in ocean colour science and provide specific feedback to the space agencies, amongst other components. The full programme is yet to be finalised, and will be distributed in the coming weeks.
