The deadline to propose sessions for the Goldschmidt 2018 (12-17 August 2018, Boston, Massachusetts, USA) is November 1st, 2017. Do you have an idea for a seminar, short course or other kind of training event? EKLIPSE is inviting representatives of networks, organisations, projects and other entities to submit proposals to develop capacity building events relevant to the Science-Policy-Society interface, regarding biodiversity, ecosystem services, and related challenges. EKLIPSE seeks to be responsive to community development needs across the European Union by supporting multi-national events that add value to science, policy and society.
Research projects which are supported by the EU through Horizon 2020 and previous framework programmes are having a real impact on the life of Europe's citizens and our society as a whole. The projects often have compelling stories to tell. But reaching out to a large non-specialist audience is not always that easy. So we are opening a communication channel based on our network of social media followers to complement your own outreach activities. The aim of this call is to help these projects reach out to a larger audience in the realm of social media.
This new forum's role will be to identify measures to open up markets for emerging products, to explore further research needs, or to point to areas where seed funding is required. The forum will deliver a pipeline of medium to long term projects aiming to grow the EU's blue bioeconomy sector.
The forum should be established from 2018 and will gather all relevant stakeholders, including producers and processors of aquatic biomass for products such as novel foods, feeds, pharmaceuticals, nutraceuticals and novel materials.
