All abstracts will be submitted to peer-review, coordinated by the Scientific Committee. Notification of acceptance will be emailed to the corresponding author together with detailed information and guidelines. Registration for the Conference is mandatory for those wishing to submit scientific contributions. When sending in an abstract you agree with publication in the book of Abstracts of AlgaEurope 2017. Next to that you agree with publication of your presentation through the AlgaEurope 2017 website.
The 5th round of proposals for the INTERREG 2 Seas is now entering its initial stages. The first step closes on Friday, 27 October 2017, and the second step will then commence on 2 February 2018, and close on 2 May 2018. The main objective of the call are the following seven objectives:

- Social Innovation
- Low-Carbon Technologies
- Adaptation to Climate Change
- Efficient Use of Resources and Materials
- Circular Economy
This is a transnational call for collaborative projects. The call is open to ERA-PLANET beneficiaries. It will use a two-step selection process to choose the most innovative and competitive proposals related to four specific themes:
- Smart cities and resilient societies
- Resource efficiency and Environmental management
- Global changes and Environmental treaties
- Polar areas and Natural resources
The call is now entering its second stage, with the first stage having concluded.
Abstract submission for the 47th Conference of the West European Fish Technologists' Association (WEFTA) is now open. The theme for this years conference is "Innovative Technologies for Healthy and Sustainable Seafood production" with international experts across every field of seafood R&D providing in-depth insights across fish, shellfish, seaweed and marine ingredients technologies.
The European Young Researchers’ Award (EYRA) is granted since 2010 to researchers demonstrating outstanding research performance and leadership. It aims to inspire early stage researchers to incorporate a European dimension and perspective into their research.
In 2017, EuroMarine organises two distinct, parallel calls:
- A call for proposals of activities (the present call)
- A call for application for individual fellowships (targeting EuroMarine PhD students and scholars in their first post-doctoral position, to let them attend an advanced course of their choice)
The general terms of both calls have been preannounced on 13 March 2017.
The second Call for access to the JERICO-NEXT Coastal Observatories, Supporting Facilities and Special Equipment is open from 20 February to 10 April 2017 for activities scheduled in the period September 2017 - August 2018 subsequent to a formal screening and selection process.
The user groups will be selected by a Selection Panel, consisting of independent international experts.
IMBeR will hold its fifth IMBIZO at Woods Hole in October. The aim of the IMBIZO 5 is to progress the implementation of the new IMBeR Science Plan (2016-2025).
