Opening: August 2, 2017

As JPI Oceans is one of the initiatives to implement the European Research Area and is aiming to improve and add value to existing science-policy mechanisms, JPI Oceans opens the exhibition space at the conference for other initiatives to present results relevant to its activities. Submissions are invited of organisations or networks where at least two or more European countries are involved. The proposals should be relevant to the 10 strategic areas or crosscutting issues as defined in the Strategic Research and Innovation Agenda of JPI Oceans:

The ten strategic areas are:

1. Exploring Deep Sea Resources
2. Technology and Sensor Developments
3. Science Support to Coastal and Maritime Planning and Management
4. Linking Oceans, Human Health and Wellbeing
5. Interdisciplinary Research for Good Environmental Status
6. Observing, Modelling and Predicting Oceans State and Processes
7. Climate Change Impact on Physical and Biological Ocean Processes
8. Effects of Ocean Acidification on Marine Ecosystems
9. Food Security and Safety Driving Innovation in a Changing World
10. Use of Marine Biological Resources through Development and Application of Biotechnology

Depending on overall space available and balance between themes, poster applications will be selected. The decision of the programme committee on what to include will be final and no correspondence will be entered into. The conference has limited capacity but a seat for each selected poster participant will be reserved.
