The Intergovernmental Science-Policy Platform on Biodiversity and Ecosystem Services (IPBES) is the intergovernmental body which assesses the state of biodiversity and of the ecosystem services it provides to society, in response to requests from decision makers.
The webinar combines an overview of the main elements of the IPBES conceptual framework with detailed discussions on their interlinkages and the involvement of the different knowledge systems. In addition the webinar will touch upon how to apply and adopt the Conceptual Framework to different types of global, regional, thematic and methodological assessments.
The series is intended to further strengthen the capacities for those involved in or wanting to learn more about the work of the platform.
