This position is open to applicants from a wide variety of research fields including, but not limited to, ecology, fisheries biology, and other related areas. Candidates must have significant renown for their expertise in physiology, ecology and biology. Preference will be given to candidates with an interdisciplinary approach. It is expected that the candidate will have significant experience in marine coastal ecosystems, as well as field work in tropical areas and research contacts in these regions.
Candidates need to connect to the research of the working groups of ZMT, ICBM, and the Helmholtz Institute for Functional Marine Biodiversity at the University of Oldenburg (HIFMB). Experience and potential in the acquisition of third party funded projects is essential. Experience for teaching in the field of marine science/ marine ecology is also necessary, due to the position entailing a teaching commitment at the University of Oldenburg, as well as ZMT.
