Deadline: May 30, 2018

To showcase new innovations in research review, dissemination or assessment in research, the OpenUP final conference Opening UP the Research Life Cycle: Innovative Methods for Open Science will take place on September 5th and 6th, Academy Palace, Brussels. OpenUP is offering three funded scholarships open to early career researchers (i.e, not tenured faculty) and students to attend the conference. To enter this competition, interested individuals must write  a blog post no longer than 1,000 words on what you think is the most urgent thing that needs to change in how research is reviewed, disseminated or assessed.

This theme is an invitation to answer the question of what concrete benefits can be realized by making scholarly research outputs openly available. Your contribution could concentrate on pressing issues related to responsible research and innovation (e.g., gender equality, science education, ethics), a new service or tool you would like to see, increasing transparency and participation in science, or how you think we can shift the scientific culture to make better use of new methods.
