The University of Gothenburg is seeking a Phd in Pathogen control in organic aquaculture production. At minimum, the candidate must possess a master's degree in molecular biology, cell biology, physiology, microbiology, veterinary medicine or related disciplines.

Experience in several of the following methodologies will be advantageous: microencapsulation technology for drug delivery, work with fluorescent tags/probes, operation of multiphase (partitioning) bioreactors, UV spectroscopy.

Synthetic and process chemistry experience is desirable and or knowledge of immunohistochemistry, cell culture work (primary and cell lines), as well as other cell signaling/cell biological techniques are advantagous. Applied skills such as a background in aquaculture or pharmacology techniques is an asset, as the position works closely with industry partners.
