This research technician role will be part of the five year European Research Council (ERC) funded MYCO-CARB project.

Educated to at least BSc level (or equivalent) in a biological subject, it is essential that you have practical experience of laboratory technician/biological scientific research work.  Candidates should demonstrate knowledge of facts, principles, processes and general concepts related to Laboratory Technician work with high degree of precision and accuracy. Experience in some of following areas will be an advantage: routine culturing and maintenance of microorganisms (e.g. media preparation, cryopreservation), processing biological samples (e.g. DNA/RNA extraction) and microscopy. Specific experience with fungi or marine microbes is not essential.

Proficiency in spoken and written English is mandatory. The post is available for 1 year initially with extension to 5 years.
