The Oceans'17 MTS/IEEE conference will return to Aberdeen, Scotland in June 2017.  Special themes for Aberdeen to include:

European Parliament Intergroup Event Marine Litter - Europe’s answers to a global challenge

The Seas, Rivers, Islands and Coastal Areas Intergroup brings together more than 80 MEPs from six different political groups and from 19 Member States.

Marine Litter - not only a European but a global inescapable problem that has gained more awareness in recent years due to the seriousness of its impacts on our eco-systems, economies and society as a whole.

This conference aims to present the state of play in our oceans and discuss potential solutions to tackle marine litter.

This will take place on 6 September 2016 from 9:00-12:00

EcoSummit 2016 Ecological Sustainability: Engineering Change

The 5th International EcoSummit Congress, EcoSummit 2016 - Ecological Sustainability: Engineering Change, will take place at The Corum Convention Centre, Montpellier from 29 August – 1 September 2016. The 10th International Marine Technician Symposium - INMARTECH2016

The 10th International Marine Technician, INMARTECH 2016, Symposium will be held at Grieghallen, in Bergen, Norway 4.- 6.October 2016.  INMARTECH symposia were initiated with the purpose of providing a forum for marine technicians to meet and exchange knowledge and experiences, thereby aiming to improve equipment performance, deployment, and operational techniques during scientific cruises on research vessels.

Be Smart, Think Blue Conference & Brokerage Event 2016

The ‘Be Smart, Think Blue’ Conference and Brokerage Event 2016 is a two part event taking place in the beautiful Polish city of Gdansk on the 19th and 20th September 2016. The event offers the full range of stakeholders in the area of marine and maritime research the opportunity to interact with the Smart Blue Regions initiative (19th September 2016) and to establish contacts with potential partners to address open calls for Blue Growth research proposals in Horizon 2020 (20th September 2016). The event is free of charge.
