AquaTT UETP CLG acts as communications for EuroMarine and maintains this website on behalf of the EuroMarine Association

This information is:

Our goal is to keep this information timely and accurate. If errors are brought to our attention, we will try to correct them. It is also our goal to minimise disruption caused by technical errors, however we cannot guarantee that our service will not be interrupted or otherwise affected by such problems. AquaTT nor the EuroMarine Association accepts no responsibility with regard to such problems incurred as a result of using this site or any linked external sites.

Mailchimp newsletter

By signing up to the EuroMarine mailing list, you consent that your personal data will be collected and processed in line with the EuroMarine privacy statement. We use Mailchimp as our email marketing platform. Website privacy statement

The purpose of this Privacy Statement is to outline how AquaTT, as EuroMarine’s website manager, deals with any personal data you provide to us while visiting this website.

1. Types of data we collect and what we use it for

a. When you use the EuroMarine website: Like most websites, we gather analytical data collected on an aggregated basis of all visitors to the website. The data that we collect through Google Analytics is anonymised and is therefore not personally identifiable. If you don’t want your data to be collected by Google Analytics, you can opt out through tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout.

Our website uses cookies to ensure that we give you the best experience on the website. A cookie is a small file of information which is sent to your computer when you visit a website. This file allows the site to recognise your browser and can be used to store user preferences. When you visit the website, we provide a cookie notification which informs you that we use cookies on this site. You can choose to accept cookies or not within your browser settings. Different browsers have different controls available to you. Typically, your browser will enable you to choose to accept, refuse or delete all cookies. b. Email subscription data

Email subscription dataEuroMarine produces an e-newsletter sent via email using the Mailchimp email marketing platform. Users can sign up to receive this e-newsletter via the “Subscribe to news” link on the website homepage.

This webpage is hosted by Mailchimp. To sign up for the e-newsletter, it is required that you provide your email address together with your first and last names. Optionally, you may also provide further details, such as your organisation name and stakeholder group. The Mailchimp privacy policy can be viewed here.

2. What we do with your data

a. Aside from cookies, we do not collect, store or re-use any personally identifiable data as a result of your visit to the website. If this changes in the future, we will update this Privacy Statement accordingly.

b. Email subscription data:

If you choose to subscribe to the EuroMarine e-newsletter, we will use the personal data that you provide to send you EuroMarine e-newsletters via the Mailchimp email marketing platform. In addition to this regular newsletter, we may also send you news, updates and opportunities related to the EuroMarine project and its partners. Processing your data in this way is on the legal basis of “legitimate interest”. You can choose to unsubscribe from these email updates at any time.

We will store your data until 2025, at which point it will be reviewed and updated if necessary.

3). Website

a. Directory Database

The EuroMarine website and its individual members directory contain personal information (of a professional nature) about EuroMarine registered individual members, as current or former employees of one of the EuroMarine member organisations. As such, it has been declared to the CNIL (Commission nationale de l'informatique et des libertés; the independent French administrative regulatory body whose mission is to ensure that data privacy law is applied to the collection, storage, and use of personal data). In compliance with French Data Protection Act no. 78-17 of 6 January 1978, as later amended, you have the right to oppose (art. 26), access (art. 34 to 38), rectify (art. 36) or delete any piece of your personal data available online on this website. To do so, please contact comm@euromarinenetwork.eu.

Concerning the use of any personal date contained in this website, users should comply with current regulations and in particular with the requirements and recommendations of the CNIL. The capture of personal data and any further processing (e.g., for commercial or advertising use) is strictly prohibited for all countries.

Please note that email addresses of members appear on this website to facilitate networking (and are visible to and usable by users). The use of which should be in line with the contents of this privacy statement.

b. The EuroMarine website is hosted by OVH, on behalf of AquaTT (as EuroMarine Director and Communications partner).

c. Reproduction copyright and links

Reproduction on paper of pages from this site is authorised, subject to the following conditions:

  • Free distribution
  • Integrity of the documents reproduced (no modification or alteration of any kind)
  • Explicit mention of www.euromarinenetwork.eu as the source and that reproduction rights are reserved and limited.

Reproduction on electronic media of all or part of the site is authorized subject to the clear and legible mention of the source (www.euromarinenetwork.eu) and the notice "All Rights Reserved". This authorization stands for text content, images being subject to specific reproductions rights (to be verified on a case by case basis).

Any use for commercial or advertising purposes is excluded.

The creation of links to this website is permitted provided that:

  • EuroMarine website pages or other content (image, picture, document or video) are not nested inside the pages of another website
  • A reference to the source is mad in the hyperlink directly linking to the content.

This authorisation does not apply to websites containing information that is controversial, defamatory, pornographic, xenophobic or likely to affect the sensitivity of many.

d. Limitation of Liability

The EuroMarine Communications checks the accuracy of pieces of information published and regularly updates the website. EuroMarine cannot however guarantee that all published information is accurate, complete and up to date. The pieces of information available do not have a contractual nature and are subject to change without notice.

We update contents based on inputs provided by users or other contributors at the earliest, but delays may occur for various reasons or constraints. Any errors, omissions, outdated information or broken links can be reported to comm@euromarinenetwork.eu.

While browsing on this website, the user must also ensure that the browser does not contain outdated pages - and must, if necessary, empty or deactivate their local "cache".

The inclusion on the EuroMarine website of hypertext links targeting other websites does not imply that EuroMarine or AquaTT endorse the corresponding target information. Browsing on the target websites is at the user's own risk.

4. How do we store your data?

When you subscribe to the EuroMarine e-newsletter, your contact information is securely stored on the Mailchimp platform. The Mailchimp privacy policy can be viewed here: mailchimp.com/legal/privacy/. AquaTT (Ireland) is the data processor for this information.5. Your data protection rights

We would like to make you aware of your data protection rights. Every user is entitled to the following:

  • The right to access: You have the right to ask AquaTT for copies of your personal data.
  • The right to rectification: You have the right to request that AquaTT correct any information you believe to be inaccurate.
  • The right to erasure: You have the right to request that AquaTT erase your personal data from our records.
  • The right to restrict processing: You have the right to request that AquaTT restrict the processing of your personal data, under certain conditions.
  • The right to object to processing: You have the right to object to AquaTT processing your personal data, under certain conditions.
  • The right to data portability: You have the right to request that AquaTT transfer the data we have collected to another organization, or directly to you, under certain conditions.

6. Data retention

Your personal data will be stored by EuroMarine until 2025, at which point it will be reviewed and updated as necessary.

7. Right to complain to the Data Protection Commissioner (DPC)

If you wish to raise a complaint, you can contact us (comms@euromarinenetwork.eu or dataprotection@aquatt.ie) in the first instance. If you are not satisfied, you can complain to the DPC or exercise any of your other rights pursuant to data protection legislation (www.dataprotection.ie).

8. Updates to the Privacy Statement

We may change this Privacy Statement. The ‘Last updated’ section at the top of this page indicates when it was last revised. Any changes to this Privacy Statement will become effective once we post the revised version on the EuroMarine website. Your use of the EuroMarine website and services following these changes means that you accept the Privacy Statement.
